Cruz responded to reports that the management plan would see the US government own 90 percent of the airline. President Donald Trump first floated the idea of buying the airline on Tuesday.
“This is an absolutely BAD idea,” Cruz wrote in a statement to X.
“The TARP bailout was a huge mistake and the government knows nothing wrong with the failed airline (which was killed by Biden’s boss),” he added.
