Robinsons Retail will close its No Brand independent stores in June

Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc. (RRHI), the retail arm of the Gokongwei group, will close its 11 independent No Brand stores across the Philippines by the end of June.

“The decision reflects changing consumer preferences and how customers choose to shop across our retail channels,” said RRHI President and Chief Executive Officer Stanley C. Co in a statement Wednesday.

“We focus on meeting the needs of customers by providing the right variety in the most appropriate ways. We are grateful to Emart for their cooperation over the past few years,” he added.

RRHI said it does not expect the closure to have a significant impact on its financial performance. No Brands account for about 0.2% of annual net sales and a small share of total assets.

“No Brand’s 11 stores are not affiliated with RRHI’s network of more than 2,700 corporate stores—including 157 Robinsons Supermarket, 159 Robinsons Easymart, 38 The Marketplace, 16 Shopwise, and 415 Uncle John’s under its food division, 100 under the TGP food division—and over franchise. 31, 2025,” it said.
