American churches are turning to drone displays, aerial bunnies and helicopter egg drops to celebrate Easter this year.

Last Saturday, Compass Church in Salinas, California, held a “Great Helicopter Easter Egg Drop” with a diving bunny.

The skydiving egg and bunny drop features 100,000 Easter eggs, bounce houses, games, photos with the Easter bunny and food for purchase.

Similarly, Cultivate Church in Alabama participated in the event, which was titled, “Great Big Helicopter Easter Egg Drop.”

On Good Friday, a coalition of churches in Tennessee held an Easter Drone and Fireworks display.

“Hundreds of drones will light up the night sky in a spectacular display, synchronized with the powerful radio broadcast of Grace 107.7,” reads an announcement on the website of The River Community Church in Cookeville, Tennessee. “With light and sound, the story of Jesus will come alive – celebrating hope, resurrection, and new life.”

It added, “If you can see the big white cross near I-40, you’ll have a great view as the drones soar 200 feet above it. The evening will end with a spectacular fireworks display over Prayer Mountain, making for a powerful ending to this unforgettable experience.”

In a video announcement on Facebook about this event, the lead pastor of this church, Steve Tiebout, said that more than 20 churches in the area participated in organizing the event.
