Loan rates drop after US-Iran ceasefire

Housing prices fell this week after President Donald Trump announced a two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran, mortgage broker Freddie Mac said on Thursday.
Freddie Mac’s latest Primary Mortgage Market Survey, released Thursday, showed an average rating on the benchmark. 30 year fixed mortgage decreased to 6.37% compared to last week’s 6.46%.
The average rate for a 30-year mortgage was 6.62% last year.

The average 15-year fixed mortgage rate decreased to 5.74% from last week’s reading of 5.77%.
