A financial activist uses the concept of a ‘money tree’ to explain wealth building

Financial activist Taylor Price joins ‘Varney & Co.’ to dissect how changing your mindset can help Americans grow wealth and achieve the American Dream.
A growing number of financial advocates are shifting the conversation away from spreadsheets and toward psychology, arguing that mindset, not math, may be the biggest obstacle to building wealth.
Financial activist Taylor Price joined FOX Business’ Ashley Webster on “Varney & Co.” discussing how restructuring financial practices can change long-term outcomes.

Price said many Americans are holding back not because of a lack of knowledge, but because of how they think about money in the first place.
“Money makes more sense than math,” Price said.

His framework uses the concept of a “money tree” to simplify how wealth is built over time. He explained that each part of the tree represents a different financial framework, from income to savings to investments, which helps people better understand how their decisions fit together.
“We start by planting the seeds, the idea of scarcity versus the idea of growth,” Price said. “It’s the difference between not being able to move forward and knowing that my choices will come together later.”

Price also identified thinking as a behavioral precursor, arguing that belief systems can directly shape financial outcomes.
“I think when will they be able to, yes, if you believe you can’t, you won’t. But if you believe you can do it, you will,” he said.
Using behavioral science, Price said people often realize more opportunities when they change their thinking.

“You will find opportunities because your mind has been trained to see how I can make more money,” said Price.
