DITO Telecommunity Corp. was recognized as the country’s best and fastest mobile network by two of the world’s leading internet analytics companies.
During the Mobile World Congress 2026 held earlier this month, the company was recognized as the #1 Rated Mobile Network in the Philippines by Ookla, and also received the Fastest Mobile Network award from Opensignal.
The third telco player said the back-to-back recognition shows its continuous improvement in network quality, noting that this is driven by investment in independent 5G technology and its rollout across the country.
“This recognition is not just about awards – it shows the role DITO is playing in building a connected Philippines,” said Eric R. Alberto, chief executive officer (CEO) of DITO Telecommunity Corp., in a statement.
“Every day, our network helps unite communities, open opportunities, and empower Filipinos to fully participate in the digital future,” he added.
For a player that started in 2021, DITO said the recognition reflects its growing presence and competitiveness in the country’s telco space, traditionally dominated by long-established operators. – Edg Adrian A. Eva
