Critical Mention 2021 Recap

The Critical Mention integration of Google Analytics allows users to:

  • View and customize Google Analytics website metrics based on reports to understand the impact of earned media on web traffic and conversions
  • Navigate the search display by users, Sessions, page views, goal completions and more
  • Show Charts by Time, User Type, Traffic Channel, Source and Referrers

The Keynote Help Center allows users to browse help articles and video tutorials. Users can now search and find answers to frequently asked questions and topics. The Help Center has articles on how to create searches, how to create reports, how to create different types of notifications and more.

Database and broadcast connectivity has strengthened Critical Mention’s all-in-one platform by allowing users to view cast and crew data for radio mentions through our Media Relations database. This release creates a more connected experience as users can easily reach media contacts by clicking on their names and major streaming outlets.

Critical Mention Earned Media Suite allows users to track earned media across all major social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and now Instagram. Users can now:

  • Monitor public Instagram accounts
  • Save what Instagram says directly in the Social section of the search tab
  • Get real-time alerts for Instagram mentions
  • View Instagram post type, language, number of followers and advertising rates
  • Email clips directly from the Earned Media Suite and include them in reports

Important_talk_radioCritical Mement users can now track the audience and social values ​​expressed through their radio. Also, users have the ability to create reports on radio metrics and create audience and advertising alerts.

This release allows users to easily navigate through the forum sections on mobile devices and tablets. Critical Mention’s Earned Media Suite now has a redesigned navigation bar and the Notifications and Contacts tabs are more responsive.

Critical Mention has partnered with UserVoice to give users the opportunity to provide feedback on the platform. Users can:

  • Submit your ideas on what we should do next
  • See and vote on comments other users have posted
  • Stay up to date with our latest features

This update allows users to create separate searches for mentions such as Disney, Disney+ and #Disney. This allows users to categorize searches to better track their conversations.

Earned Media Suite has been updated with an updated design that includes updates to several pages and additional updates to the user-friendly platform. Updated design changes have been made for extended mentions within Private Pages where users can view clips and generate downloads.

Users can monitor the audience and advertising values ​​of podcasts. This platform addition allows users to add podcast audience and social values ​​to reports. And users can share those values ​​via email, directly from the platform.

The geographic and Designated Market Area (DMA) data in the Critical Mention Media Contact Database is now powered by Google. The following updates have been made to the Media Contact Database:

  • DMA options have been added to the contact area and output filters, allowing users to select an entire region when searching for media contacts.
  • The location drop is now more accurate, with the largest/main cities being shown first
  • Search now allows country abbreviations in the local search dropdown

Critical Mention continues to add channels to track in its Earned Media Suite! More than 300 TV and radio stations were added throughout the year.
