Framber Valdez gets his due from the punk walk, suspended for six games after digging out Boston’s Trevor Story.

Framber Valdez came up against Boston on Tuesday, and MLB paid him.
The short-tempered pitcher made his debut against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday and reached a boiling point, familiar to him, when he drilled Trevor Story with a 94 mph fastball that sparked a row about clearing the benches.

As a result of losing his cool in the 10-3 loss and the crucifixion story, Valdez has been suspended for six games, Major League Baseball announced Wednesday.

Valdez looked like a pitcher in batting practice as the Red Sox treated him like a piñata. The meltdown culminated in the fourth inning when Wilson Contreras and Wilyer Abreu delivered back-to-back homers, pushing the score to an embarrassing 10-2. At that time, things moved forward.
Tigers manager AJ Hinch appeared tired of defending the optics.
Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy didn’t buy the incident.

“Yeah, I think it was intentional,” Tracy admitted, via the Boston Herald.
“I thought it was weak, and I thought everybody saw it. Their side, our side, I think everybody saw it. And yes, it was weak.”

Valdez retracted that claim after the game.
“It wasn’t intentional. It wasn’t intentional. It might look like that, but it wasn’t,” Valdez said through an interpreter. “
… I consider the dismissal completely unfair given that, first of all, they should have given me a warning. And then if it was on purpose, I do it the second or third time, of course, I get kicked out. “
In an attempt to send a message, MLB sent one back and replaced Valdez.
The NESN broadcast team introduced Valdez as the veteran took off.

“That’s weak,” said Dave O’Brien. “You give up a three-run home run, you shoot back up, and you drill Trevor Story.”
“You can’t get them out, so you throw them. What a joke. The one guy who caused that is hiding in the back,” said analyst Will Middlebrooks.
Middlebrooks also took a shot as Valdez passed, adding, “Let’s just hope he doesn’t go over to his captor like he’s crazy.”
Middlebrooks talked about a bad incident last season in which Valdez crossed his catcher, Cesar Salazar, after Salazar tried to stop Valdez’s pitch that led to a homer.

Valdez would stay the week, but when he couldn’t get them out, Valdez went the cheap route, the kind that makes him hard to trust.
