Ford, Carhartt team up for ‘critical economy’ Super Duty truck

Two iconic Detroit brands are joining forces to support the workers and industries that keep the US economy running.

On Thursday Ford Motor Co. and Carhartt have launched a wide-ranging collaboration aimed at highlighting what they call the “core economy,” including sectors such as construction, manufacturing, public services and skilled trades.

This effort includes product innovation, small business support and local investment in the Motor City.

As part of the partnership, the companies are introducing a new Ford Super Duty Carhartt truck – the Super Duty XLT pickup truck that is integrated by both brands and is designed specifically for “the valuable employees that both companies have served for generations,” according to Ford.

“It’s really developed from looking at people wearing Carhartt and going on Super Duties,” Alicia Boler Davis, president of Ford Pro, told FOX Business.

“When you see the car, and you get into it, it’s going to feel solid, and it’s going to have that Carhart look and feel while still maintaining all the strength and durability that we have with our Super Duty truck,” he added.

Ford is also expanding support for small businesses and fleet operators with a new program called “From Our Business to Yours” that extends Ford employee pricing — below the Manufacturer’s Suggested Price (MSRP) — to commercial customers.

“As we were looking to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country’s founding, we thought that this would be a good opportunity to give back to the people who have contributed a lot to our country in our communities,” said Davis.

Beyond product and pricing efforts, companies are investing in Detroit by supporting the Detroit ToolBank, a nonprofit tool loan organization that provides tools to local organizations and volunteers.

“We have this shared benefit of giving back to our communities and giving back to the people who have given us so much,” Davis said.

The announcement follows Ford’s latest launch of its “Value American. For American Values” campaign, a national pricing program that offers employee pricing to all US customers on most new 2025 and 2026 Ford and Lincoln vehicles through July 6.

“Ford has always believed that American values are more than words – they are actions,” said Andrew Frick, president of Ford Blue and Model e, in a statement.
