First lady Melania Trump’s senior adviser Marc Beckman is calling on late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s advertisers to boycott the show following an “expected widow” joke directed at the first lady.
“Why would ABC get behind that? That’s the question. Plus, not just the ABC brand, but why the advertisers on Kimmel’s show stick with him,” said Marc Beckman. “It’s weird.”
The first lady shouted “hateful and violent words” at Kimmel after she performed at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, calling her a “pregnant widow” days before the assassination attempt. Kimmel defended his skit, saying it was a joke about the age gap and not a call to kill.
Beckman said that although the first lady is selective with her words, “Kimmel should be fired. ABC should terminate his employment.”

The first lady hit out at Kimmel on Monday’s X show, including calling him a “coward” and calling on “ABC to take action.”
“His speech about my family is not funny – his words are vile and deepen the political sickness in America. People like Kimmel should not have the opportunity to enter our homes every evening to spread hate,” he wrote.
Beckman, CEO of advertising agency DMA United, said that, in his opinion, “it’s not about freedom of speech. It’s about branding.”
“Why would ABC and its parent company, Disney, want to deal with someone who comes into every one of our homes, American homes, night and day. [in] our living rooms, our bedrooms, and speaking divisive and negative political propaganda,” he added.
Beckman cited a report from the Wall Street Journal analyzing terrorist incidents compiled by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, data showing that, by 2025, left-wing terrorist attacks and conspiracy will increase dramatically for the first time in more than 30 years.

“The amount of political violence, political violence from the left to the right is at an all-time high,” Beckman said. “The trend is that from left to right, political violence is greater than from right to left.”

“He pays attention to what people say in the media, but he doesn’t care that much. I think what he focuses on is how he can continue to make great success for the country,” said Beckman.

Kimmel came under fire last year for comments about the Charlie Kirk murder that critics said mistreated the suspect and politicized the case. The ABC anchor was then briefly suspended from the airwaves before returning and apologizing.
The first lady recently used her position to increase children’s access to technology and education while inviting 45 countries to the first global “Fostering the Future Together” conference in March.

“So what’s her focus? She’s focused on American children, American families, taking care of the nation as First Lady. She’s not really going to care about all the gossip, lies, and innuendo,” Beckman added.
Fox News Digital reached out to ABC and Kimmel’s representatives but did not immediately receive a response.
